Pam Coronado Insights Newsletter November 2009 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Pam, Hi everyone and welcome to my new subscribers! The trip to Greece last month was more wonderful than I ever imagined it would be. It was just what my heart and soul needed. I discovered something profound about the island of Crete which I will share below. Still I feel like there is so much more to explore that I'd love to go back to fill in more of the ancient puzzle. Men Who Stare At Goats will hit theaters on Nov 6th. I'm anxious in many ways about this film. Could be funny or could be a disaster. The film is based on the true story of a small group of government psychic spies, and specifically on Lyn Buchanan, my dear friend and favorite spook. I'd say having George Clooney play you is quite a compliment... ha Lyn. More on this below. "I have psychic impressions so how can I help in a missing person case?" I am asked this constantly, so I will discuss the ethical minefield of missing person work. This month I am continuing with the psychic detective online/ teleclasses. Students got much more from class with this format so we will carry on this Nov. If you're interested sign up now because we just started and won't have this class in December. I've also brought back the all popular prosperity class. Fun and prosperity return! See link at right. November is the month to give thanks. I'd like to thank all of you for being here. In This Issue Men Who Stare at Goats Missing Persons Work Ancient Secrets of Greece Let's Cruise Together ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Men Who Stare at Goats Men Who Stare at Goats is a fiction movie based on the best selling, non-fiction book by the same name and written by Jon Ronson. The story pokes fun at the secret govern-ment remote viewing program called Stargate which was in operation from the early 70's to the mid 90's. George Clooney plays the role of Lyn Cassidey aka Lyn Buchanan. The film could be a funny and entertaining smart satire as long as it doesn't become mean spirited and insulting. Hard to say since Jon Ronson, author of the book, categorically believes that all paranormal activity is hokum. To be fair, I haven't read the book. Paul Smith (one of the original remote viewers) indicates that the book is amusing though annoyingly inaccurate in many places. Still, from his blog, I'm convinced that Ronson believes Lyn is a certifiable kook. Quirky yes, crazy, no, talented, very. The film's director Grant Heslov, thankfully, is considerably less skeptical. This conflict of perspectives will be interesting to watch play out in the form of one cute and entertaining, George Clooney. I'd love your comments after you've seen the movie. info@pamcoronado.com [mailto:info@pamcoronado.com] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Missing Persons Work Many readers and students wonder just what to do with the intuitive insights when it comes to a missing person. The question and answer is a complicated one. If you have no training, I usually advise against contacting law enforcement directly. Well meaning intuitives don't like to hear this so let me explain further. Unless you have had a very specific dream or visions in a case that can actually be located, I advise against it, as this usually causes more strain on law enforcement than help. Hundreds of unsolicited tips from psychics just turns them off to the whole process. Departments simply don't have the resources and time to chase down every tip from every well meaning intuitive (regardless of a strong track record or no experience at all). I have seen many vague tips come in that are impossible to follow up on. Most detectives don't know enough about the process to be able to filter through the good and the bad and just give up on all of it. Imagine 60 people calling you and telling you how to fix your computer, and all of them having a different idea of how to go about it. It would drive you mad. This is what detectives on high profile cases go through with psychics. Even if they wanted the advice, who do they believe? If you feel you see the geographic location of a missing person then do the leg work yourself before asking them to. Put yourself in their shoes. If you can't go on private property, neither can they. If you received this tip would you be able to use it? Turning a vision into a real location can be a time consuming and tedious challenge. On the other hand, I have students in class who are showing very good consistent work. Now what? I would like to eventually (sooner rather than later) form a group of trained folks to work on missing persons cases. This is actually one of my goals with the online classes I teach. I would like to have a referral system so that I can pass on reliable info to law enforcement who seeks it. I'd also like to see more people get involved in the real aspect of missing persons work by organizing and joining in physical searches. I have often told law enforcement that I wouldn't ask them to search anywhere I wouldn't go myself. You wouldn't believe some of the places I've been. They always seem to take me up on this. :D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ancient Secrets of Greece The island of Crete, Greece has a diverse history spanning over hundreds of thousands of years. I was very curious about the energy of the Minoan culture and what might remain for me to perceive in the ancient palace ruins throughout the island. Too many interesting insights came through to share here so I am putting together an audio documentary of the trip which will be available soon. I can say that each palace has it's own dynamic energy. I perceived everything from trauma to joyful celebration and worship to hedonism. I'd really like a chance to decipher some of those mysterious tablets scholars haven't been able to translate. Oddly, the most profound discovery came while meditating on a jetty at the beach before I visited any ruins. The island itself seemed to be telling me how much it was loved and revered. The island was aware that people come from all over the world to enjoy it's beauty and that it had been admired (and even worshiped) for thousands of years. Sounds crazy except for my experience with psychometry. Of course! If a rock can absorb emotions from the people and events around it why wouldn't the land do so? It soon became apparent that the island absorbed the emotions and belief system of the people who live there. For those who don't know about my work with rocks, I often teach psychometry using rocks. Rocks carry an imprint from their environment which sensitives can pick up though touch. If a highly charged emotional event happens in an area, the surrounding rocks, soil and trees absorb those vibes. On Sensing Murder I read this energy at crime scenes by standing in proximity of a highly charged emotional event. It just never occurred to me that an entire island would reflect the love of it's people. The implications of this are stunning to me. info@pamcoronado.com [mailto:info@pamcoronado.com] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have a great month.
